Where Has All My Joy Gone? It's Time To Go Find It Again

I remember spending long days with my sister, just doing nothing but having so much fun. There was no schedule, and no requirement to be productive or accomplish anything.

How did we spend hours sitting on the deck talking, flipping through magazines, listening to music? How did we take so much joy from just walking with my kids along the path behind her house, or searching the stores at Yorkdale to find where my son left his toy doggie?

I miss my sister. I miss those days. I miss the joy.

Somewhere along the way, life got serious. I got serious. My life became what seemed like an endless round of duty and obligation, always needing to achieve something, to be productive.

Don’t get me wrong, my life has lots of joy. I do have fun, I do relax, I do have spare time, just not near enough. Somehow my balance got off.

And I’m determined to get it back. I’m determined to up the joy to duty ratio. I’m going to start journaling my moments of joy so I keep the focus on having more of them.

Try this ONE thing

Are you living with enough joy? If not, join me on the quest for joy. You can start my telling me what gives you joy.

Want to experience coaching? I like to start with a deep, get-to-know-you conversation to see if we are right for each other. Sometimes we talk for one or two hours at no charge. I have no goal except to bring about transformation. Together we work on the lies, the self-deception, the fears of the power you perceive to be outside yourself. We work on your difficulties in making decisions and your inability thus far to make bold choices in life and to follow through and trust yourself completely to do so.

The irony for some people is that the very thing that they want the coaching for (an indecisive, half-hearted life) is what’s keeping them from deciding whether to get coaching.
