Yesterday was Valentine’s Day which in North America is a day when couples celebrate their love. I’m sure many of you received chocolate, candy hearts and flowers. May you delight in them. I’ve certainly had my share over the years.
But for many Valentine’s Day is a difficult day because you’re not in a relationship right now, or worse, you are, and your partner doesn’t get what all the fuss is about.
Did you send a Valentine to yourself? Did you show yourself some love?
You can buy yourself some chocolates, or better yet, buy them for someone else who doesn’t have a Valentine. If flowers are your thing, buy your own. Did you know that many grocery store flower shops will arrange them for you in your own vase for a nominal fee (Longos here in Ontario does). Why not treat yourself?
You don’t have to ‘white knuckle’ your way through the day, waiting for it to be over so the silence of your phone and doorbell no longer vexes you.
Try this ONE thing
Make a list of all the things you love about yourself. Don’t be shy, and don’t be modest…you don’t have to show it to anyone. And then go have one of those delicious candy hearts.
