Appreciating What You Now Have That You Once Wished For

Lately, I’ve been noticing a growing sense of peace in my life — the kind that arrives quietly, without fanfare.
Â
I think back to my single‑parent years, when worry was ever‑present. Worry about money. About making ends meet. I remember wishing for a day when finances wouldn’t consume so much mental space.
Â
That day has arrived.
Â
And yet, standing here now, I realize how easy it is to forget the longing that once lived there. To move forward without pausing long enough to acknowledge the gift of where I am today.
Â
So, I gave myself a few minutes to remember. To feel gratitude. To breathe it in.
Â
It reminded me that contentment grows when we notice how far we’ve come.

Try this ONE thing
Gently reflect on something in your life today that once felt out of reach — and really appreciate it.
