When Your People Fill Your Cup

I got to spend a week in Vancouver, Washington with a bunch of my people and it was delightful, uplifting and involved way too little sleep.
I laughed a lot at all the inside jokes. I learned from them, and maybe they learned a bit from me. It was fun to travel in a pack of 15 of us to and from the hotel. And let’s not forget my perfect parallel parking in a car much bigger than I’m comfortable with, with 4 passengers to witness. Score!
But the most uplifting thing for me was being around a few colleagues where the affection is easy and mutual. Being around people who really get you is so good for the soul, and absolutely worth sacrificing some sleep for.
There were several moments where I could deeply appreciate what a rare and happy opportunity this was to be together, whether it was cheese tasting, watching a world cup game together, going shopping at Ross - maybe more times than I expected - or enduring all the backseat driving.
Ordinary moments, to be sure, but they left me feeling incredibly blessed.

Try this ONE thing
Where can you find the delightful and uplifting today? Hint: look for it in the ordinary moments?
