What If You Stopped Trying So Hard and Let The Universe Take Over

I know what you’re saying, I can’t. I need to work hard, I need to take control, I need to make it happen…or maybe you don’t.

At this time of year, I always take an extended break to afford myself time to pause and reflect. I take 2.5 weeks off and I stay home. I find that’s enough time for me to let go of all the duty and obligation, forget work projects and just be.

The slowness, the absence of schedule, the sleep-ins, the time with family and friends gives me time to relax. In that relaxing state of mind, I find wisdom, ideas and answers come to me so easily. I find the clarity to know what’s next for me.

All my planning, reaching, pushing is unnecessary. If I can just sit quiet and trust, all will be revealed.

My challenge is to remember this when I’m working too hard. 😊

Try this ONE thing

Write down a question or a problem that is worrying you. You can write it your journal or just on a sticky note; it’s doesn’t matter.

Now forget about it and go about your business and see if in an hour, a day, or a week the answer reveals itself to you. I’ll bet it does.

Hey! Are you already successful and accomplished? Do you have many things to appreciate about your life right now? Are you always open to learning more and growing yourself?

Despite all your successes, do you sometimes doubt yourself? Do you hesitate to go after what you really want in life?

Or maybe you dismiss your past successes, putting them down to luck, and don’t really see how extraordinary you really are?

If this sounds like you, you and I should have a conversation. Drop me a line here, karen.laidlaw.theONEthing@outlook.com, and let’s talk!
