Try A Little Ease and Effortlessness, Instead of Pushing Hard

I’ve always liked the word effortlessness. It evokes images of grace, acceptance, serenity.

I want that. I bet you do too.

But we live in this world of goal attainment, success parameters, competitiveness…ugh…feels like running though mud. I sure don’t want to do that.

And for the most part, I haven’t done that. So much of my success came from a genuine desire to have something, holding a plan loosely and attracting things to me. This is not to say there wasn’t any hard work involved. There was. And a lot of learning and applying myself. There just wasn’t a lot of handwringing, worrying, stressing, trying hard to make things happen. I had goals and I made plans, but I held them loosely.

So when success happened, it seemed to come with ease and effortlessness.

Except in one area…there’s always one isn’t there?

In that one area I seemed to forget my success formula. I stressed, I worried, I got frustrated, I kept pushing, I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. And it all felt like such hard work. And I’m still doing it.

It’s time to stop and shift.

Try this ONE thing

Stay tuned for a success story from me about this one area. Meanwhile, ask yourself where you’d like more ease and effortlessness? And then make a new plan, one that focuses on the desire without making it a goal.

Hey! Are you already successful and accomplished? Do you have many things to appreciate about your life right now? Are you always open to learning more and growing yourself?

Despite all your successes, do you sometimes doubt yourself? Do you hesitate to go after what you really want in life?

Or maybe you dismiss your past successes, putting them down to luck, and don’t really see how extraordinary you really are?

If this sounds like you, you and I should have a conversation. Drop me a line here, karen.laidlaw.theONEthing@outlook.com, and let’s talk!
